We
offer four basic areas of assistance: training, technical assistance,
microlending, and networking.
Training:
Starting A Business
Eight week course designed to help you understand what it
takes to start a business. Topics include but are not limited to the following:
legal structure and issues, financing, marketing, and identifying your
customer.
Writing Your Business
Plan
Eight week course that will assist in summarizing your ideas
into a working document that will help you organize, implement, and promote
your ideas for a successful business.
Computer Classes
8-10 week basic course of hands-on training instruction that
will provide a knowledgeable use of computers. Topics will include Email I,
Word I, Excel I, and Power Point.
Other courses available: eBay, Internet, Web Design, Quick
Books.
Technical Assistance:
We are here to help you with your business needs. We
offer technical assistance as requested by the business owner. Technical
assistance includes business counseling and information and referral.
Lending:
Call NCDC for further information. Ask about our eBay
Techquity Program.
Networking
We offer networking for both startup and existing
businesses. We are a co-sponsor of the monthly Omaha Empowerment
Breakfast. The breakfast is held the second Friday of each month at the
Regency Lodge 909 S. 107th St. (off I-680 and Pacific). The cost is
$12.00. Bring your business cards and a friend. For further information or
