Terrie Jackson Miller
Director of Economic and Community Development
As a native Omahan, Terrie
Jackson Miller has extensive experience as a leader in the area of economic and
community development. With 24 years as a director for the Greater Omaha Chamber
of Commerce, she has coordinated the development of economic, small business,
and career opportunities that enhance the quality of life for Omaha's ethnic
minority communities.
Ms. Jackson Miller has served on numerous boards throughout
the city representing organizations such as the YMCA, YWCA, Girl's Inc. Partner
Board, United Methodist Community Center, Family Service of the Midlands,
Junior Achievement, and many others.
Among her special appointments are the Mayor's Compensation
Committee, Douglas County Affirmative Action Committee, Omaha Public Schools
Desegregation Review Committee, and the Danforth Policymakers' Program Summer
Institute.
Ms. Jackson Miller has served as the Nebraska representative
for the African American Leadership Summit-The Public Forum Institute under the
leadership of U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison of Texas and U.S. Senator Rick
Santorum of Pennsylvania. She also served as the 1993 White House Delegate for
the White House Conference on the North America Free Trade Agreement.
Ms. Jackson Miller is a current adjunct professor at the
University of Nebraska at Omaha and Metropolitan Community College. She holds
an undergraduate and graduate degree in business from the College of Saint
Mary.

Gloria Kellum
Housing Director
Gloria has over 18 years of experience assisting clients
with their financial/mortgage, homeownership and credit counseling needs. Ms. Kellum began her career in financing for
a local community bank in 1989 where she spent 5 years as a personal
banker. In 1994 Ms. Kellum was hired at
Omaha 100 as a mortgage loan originator where she offered various mortgage
financing solutions to low- and moderate-income individuals interested in
purchasing homes in the North and South Omaha communities.
In 2000 Ms. Kellum accepted a position with New Community
Development Corporation as the Housing Coordinator where she spent her time
assisting potential homebuyers through the process of purchasing their newly
constructed homes. Ms. Kellum was then
recruited by a major mortgage company to serve as the Emerging Markets branch
manager. During her tenure, Ms. Kellum
was instrumental in the formation of the branch, she trained and managed staff
members, and continued to assist clients with their mortgage loan and credit
counseling needs for a total of 5 years.
Lastly, Ms. Kellum returned to New Community Development Corporation in
July of 2006 as the company's Housing Director.
Ms. Kellum supports the daily activities of the
President/CEO. Ms. Kellum continues to
offer her knowledge and expertise to clients in an effort to make the
transition into homeownership as smooth as possible.

Beth Knott has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the
University of Nebraska at Omaha (2001), and prior to working as an independent
accountant, she has provided accounting services for small businesses and CFO
Systems, LLC. In addition, she was the
corporate accountant at Pacific Realty Commercial.
Ms. Knott has over 12 years of accounting experience in the
Omaha area. In addition to working for
New Community Development Corporation, Ms. Knott has five (5) other clients in
a variety of businesses.

Felecia Howard has been with NCDC since April, 2007. Felecia brings 21 years of banking and mortgage experience with her to NCDC.
Before joining the NCDC Team Felecia worked at the Omaha
Housing Authority for 5 years as the Homeownership Manger, in which time she
assisted approximately 50 families become first time homeowners.
Felecia was born and raised in Omaha, she attended Central
High School and The University of Nebraska Omaha.
She is the mother of two children Tierra 20, and Duan 15. Felecia enjoys working in the community and
assisting families become first time homeowners. In her spare time she enjoys
reading and spoiling her grandchildren RiNyah 2 and Richodd 5 months.

Jacqueline
Hankins
Office Manager
Jacqueline
has been with NCDC since August 2007.
Jacqueline comes to NCDC after over eight years in the Healthcare field.
Jacqueline
is a native Omahan and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and majored
in Education. In her spare time she
enjoys tutoring youth in her favorite subject mathematics, traveling, watching
sports and spending time with her family.
Jacqueline
feels very blessed to be part of the NCDC team and her favorite part of her job
is being able to see the excitement on the faces of the participants who
complete business and computer training classes. It's wonderful to watch people reach their goals and
accomplishments. Jacqueline encourages
the community to take advantage of the opportunities that NCDC has to
offer.

Ken
Lyons
President & CEO
Ken has over 30 years of business experience, including
employment with Northern Petro Chemical and Mobil Oil's Polymer Division. He has managed, established and rebuilt
offices in New York and Chicago and is considered a "Turn-around" specialist.
He is particularly adept at marketing and technical sales.
In 1996, Ken was team leader in Paris, France for a joint
venture with one of Europe's largest OEM's, Plastic Omnium. The project
entailed the development and marketing of resins for manufacturing plastic gas
tanks. He was the first to hire women in field sales. His region led the
company in sales for four consecutive years with sales in excess of $20 million
dollars each year.
Mr. Lyons grew up in Alabama where he attended Tuskegee
University. He excelled in finance,
statistics, and marketing, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Administration.
Mr. Lyons volunteered with Omaha Public Schools "Greeter"
program for under privileged elementary school children. He Co-Chaired the fund
raising efforts of Child Saving Institute for two years, both years garnering
record breaking financial support for the agency. He is on the faculty at University of Nebraska/Omaha in the
prestigious College of Business Administration, where he teaches Business and
Marketing classes. He was the President
and CEO of LYMAC Plastic Products. In addition, Mr. Lyons worked as Vice
President of First National Bank of Omaha where he spearheaded their community
development efforts before leaving to join New Community Development
Corporation as President & CEO.
Ken has accepted the
request from the Governor of Nebraska, Dave Heineman, to serve as a member
of the Nebraska Commission on Housing and Homelessness. Ken serves as Chairman
of the Housing Committee for the North Omaha Development Project (NODP), a $200
million dollar initiative targeting housing and economic growth and development
in North Omaha, and also has been appointed to the Nebraska Housing Developers
Association (NHDA) Board of Directors.
